  Day 1   Chiang Rai airport- Chiang Khong.

                   Welcome at Chiang Rai airport.  Drive to The Golden Triangle area where the borders of Thailand –Laos-Mynmar (Burma) convene. Natural border which was created by the mighty Mae Khong river. Then drive to Chiang Khong along the Nam Khong River bank,opposite to Laos, passing by Thailand`s most ancient northern city of Chiang Saen. Arrive to NamKhong Riverside Hotel & resort with welcome drink.
 Day  2  Chiang Khong- Huay Xai-Luang Namtha-Muang Sing.

8.00am-17.00pm (225 km.)

Ferry across Mea Khong river to Huay Xai, stamp visa entry to Laos.Drive on rout no.13 (on building) which is planned to be an international crossover between China  ,Laos and Thailand.Visit Thai Lu & Thai Sung villages .The area is surrounded with mountains highs of 1850 m.

             Passing through Luang Namtha ,the town which was virtually destroyed during the Indochina War.Then Muang sing, area which is rich of mountain hilltribes people.Visit the border of Laos-China. Lunch on the way.D/H At Muang sing.

                     Day  3 Muang Sing-Udom Xai-Luang Prabang.

8.00am-18.00pm (370 km)

                 Drive from Muang Sing pass Luang Namtha to Udom Xai Visit Pou Sang temple on the mountain with view point over the town.Villages on the way Thai Lu,Akha,Hmong,Mien,Laos sung.The area surrounding is many mountains highs 1850m.Then continue to Luang Prabang to see an incredible collection of Buddhish and French colonial architecture with river line Nam Ou River.Arriving Luang Prabang by evening time.Lunch on the way.D/H At Grand Luang Prabang hotel.

                              Day 4  Luang Prabang city tour.

                          9.00 am-15.00 pm (60 km)

                        Luang Prabang was the ancient capital of Lam Xang  Kingdom and has been selected  as one of  UNESSCO`S World Heritage site. It is a beautiful town with a special relaxed atmosphere. Luang Prabang is located right in the middle of the Northern part of Laos ,along  the Mea Khong river.The town is surrounded by the mountains and set between Nam Khan and Nam Ou rivers. In Luang Prabang there are ancient historic temples with pagodas that are almost 400 -500 years old.

                                  Visit The Royal Palace museum of King Sisavangvong and his family.

                 A modest but graceful building which combines traditional Lao and French beaux-arts motifs. This turn-of-the century royal residence has been preserved as it was when the royal family last lived here and provides unique insights into the history of Laos.Explore a few of the nicely preserved temples in luang Prabang

              The beautiful Wat Xieng Thong, walking along the Wat street, Wat Mai, Climb up 296 steps of  Phusi wat (Temple) for overlooking with fantastic view point (360 degree) around the town.

            Trip by private Long tail boat to Pak Ou caves (Buddha caves), stop on the way to visit Muang Kham(Lao Lum) .This extraordinary caves are filled with Buddha statues .Imaginable style & size, made of various materials.

           On our way back stop at Ban Xang Hai,a local village famous for the distillation of  Lou Lao, the local rice whisky.Visit another village,the Ban Xang Khong , a village well known for its traditional handwoven cotton, silk and local sa paper handicrafts.We`ll see the weaving techniques and natural dyes of Lao textile and will be astonished by the beauty and quality of the textiles.You`ll have an excellent opportunity to buy some stunning souvenirs. Late afternoon free at leisure .Enjoy sunset near Mea Khong river.Lunch on the way.   Day  5 Luang Prabang -Phonsawan.

              8.00 am.-17.00 pm. ( 242 km.)               

Drive from Luang Prabang to Poukoun village. Through the two sides of the road we`ll see Mhong,Thai Lu & Laos Sung hill tribes.The view of the locals is very National Geographic .The area surrounding with mountains highs 2150 m. Arrive to Phonsawan or Xieng Khouang Province.The area is well known for the Plain of jars which are over 2,000 years old. No one really knows what they are used for. Arrive to Phonsawan about 17.00 pm.  Lunch on the way.D/H At Phonsawan hotel.

               Day 6  Phonsawan - Tour plain of jars - Vang Vieng.

8.30 am-18.00pm ( 80 km )

Phonsawan is the northern province of Laos, the landscape is the hills and steep limestone cliffs which are similar to Switzerland.

             Visit morning market , explore around plain of jars for three main sites that have been largely cleared of mines & bombs .Visit Cave and  Hot spring at Ban Nam Tien,Free at leisureLunch on the way ,D/HDrive along the steep mountain in the jungle of  Pou Bia , the highest mountain of Laos 2,800 m. high,green forest and fresh airHill tribe village along the way.Visit Nam Ngum dam Lake at Ban Huay Huad.Arrive to Vang Vieng by safety and fun.Lunch on the way D/H At Som Sook resort.  The Biggest Jar  

Day 7 Vang Vieng   Adventure day.

                                             Vang Viang is a small town which is located in a lower plateau ,domains by an overwhelming landscape of karat mountains, Limestone mountains bordering with Nam Song river.

           Sightseeing in Vang Vieng .Visit Tam Jung , known as garden for meditation, tube rafting in Song river to explore amazing caves (incl. Tham Chang-elephant cave and Tham Xang Caves).Free leisure nearby Nam Song river with a cold Beer Lao.Lunch on picnic ,D/H At Som Sook resort.

   Day 8 Vang Vieng – Vientiane - Nong Khai (Thailand )

9.30 am- 17.00 pm ( 185 km.)

Drive on the way to Vientiane by local Laos countryside roads.

           Passing during the journey about  thousand curves along our way to the capital , offers us a great opportunity to see the countryside and the green mountains and fresh air.

       Day 9 Vientiane - Nong Khai (Thailand )

 In the morning, visit a local market to see the  activity of the early morning.Visit the original old Wat Sisaket (1818), Ho Prakeo (hall of crystal buddha), the biggest Thatluang stupa and Patuxay (view point)Anusawaree,Then stamp passpots before leaving Laos to Nong Khai (Thailand)Take the sleeping train to Bangkok. OR  fly from Vientiane to Bangkok.
